FULLBOREAlberta Fullbore Rifle Association |
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
All memberships start 15 December and are valid for 12 months. We do not pro-rate memberships, so in the event you joined part way through the year, you still have to pay the entire fee.
MEMBERSHIP IN THE ALBERTA PROVINCIAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION
Being a member of the Alberta Provincial Rifle Association (APRA) is required in order to be a member of Fullbore. Your membership fee includes:
In addition to the Fullbore fee listed below, the APRA fee is $50/year for Single person, or $95/year for a Family membership. This is added during the application process if you are not already paying it through another APRA club (BTSA, Swiss or Rosebud).
INTITIATION FEE
If you are a new member, or were not a member of Fullbore in the previous year, there is a one time $100 fee that is added to all memberships which is included in the price below.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Once you have paid your membership fee, you will be required to take a one hour orientation at the range before using it. These are held frequently throughout the year. Once you attend the orientation, your member ID is then activated and you can use the range.
ACCESS TO THE 50M RANGE
Once you attend the new member orientation, you will get access to the 50m range. Members can use handguns, rimfire rifles, shotguns fired in the horizontal position, and carbines on this range.
ACCESS TO THE 900M RANGE DURING NON MATCH DAYS
For members that want to go to the range on their own when there are no planned events, Fullbore will provide you with access to a locked gate. In order to get access, you must have attended at least 4 qualifying events in the previous year. This is how it works:
You must attend 4 events per year.
At least 2 of these must be matches.
Events will be listed on the Events page of our website.
Qualifying Events:
Matches – You need to attend 2 different matches per year. It doesn’t matter if you attend one or both days of a match; what matters is that they are separate matches (e.g., Saturday of the Season Opener and the Kananaskis weekend = 2 matches).
Practice Sessions – Formal Fullbore practices. Registration is required for tracking, but there’s no need to cancel if you don’t attend after registering.
Volunteer Work Parties – Tasks like painting, mowing, or general upkeep. These will also be posted on the website.
Introduction to Long-Range Shooting Course – Offered once per year, covering F-Class basics.
In summary: Any combination of these events counts toward your 4, as long as 2 are matches.
KANANASKIS VISITOR PASS
Members and visitors are not required to purchase a Kananaskis visitor pass, as long as they don't stop in the park along the way.
